MF Utility (MFU) is an innovative \"Shared Services\" initiative by AMFI. It acts as a \"Transaction Aggregation Portal\" that allows you to transact in multiple mutual fund schemes using a single portal and a single payment.

The information is required to establish a Common Account Number (CAN). A CAN gives you a consolidated view of your investments and enables a wide range of future services and transactions without requiring repeated data entry and documentation.

No, nominee details are not mandatory at this stage. However, providing them now simplifies future non-financial transactions, such as changes to your account or address, and ensures comprehensive after-sales support without needing to resubmit this information later.

You are requested to upload your PAN Card, AADHAR Card, and a Cheque Leaf. These can be in Image or PDF format. The system supports common image formats like JPG, PNG, and TIFF.
